Artwork Guideline
Best File Formats
PDF files (preferred)
PDFs are our most preferred file type. They’re lossless, reliable, and in most cases can be printed directly from the supplied file with minimal setup or adjustment.
PNG files
PNGs are absolutely fine for most jobs, however it’s important they’re supplied at high quality and a suitable file size. Low-resolution PNGs can result in pixelation when printed, especially at larger sizes.
PNG transparency & scaling
If your PNG includes transparency or is intended to be scaled up, please ensure it’s exported at the final print size (or larger) to maintain sharp edges and clean detail.
PSD & AI files (editable formats)
Photoshop (PSD) and Illustrator (AI) files are welcome if you’d like to keep the artwork editable for a specific reason.
Please note: all text in AI files must be outlined to avoid font compatibility issues.
Colour Profile
For the most accurate results, please ensure your artwork is set to CMYK colour mode before saving.
Images created for screens are usually in RGB, which contains bright neons and backlit colours that cannot be replicated with ink. If you upload an RGB file, we will convert it to CMYK for you, but please be aware that vibrant colours (especially neon greens, pinks, and blues) may appear slightly duller in print.
Bleed Requirements
If you'd like your design to print all the way to the edge, you must include a 3mm bleed on all sides. This extra background area prevents unwanted white borders and ensures a clean, professional cut.
If your design is not required edge to edge printing, bleed is not necessary.
Minor Adjustments & Recommendations
Occasionally, we may suggest or make small edits if we notice something that may not print well or if a minor change could improve the final outcome. Any adjustments will always be discussed with you first.
Proofing & Approval
Image proofs will be supplied for approval before printing whenever changes are made or if proofing is requested.
Colour Disclaimer
Please note that actual printed colours may vary slightly from what you see on your screen. This is due to the difference between computer monitors (which display in RGB) and print processes (which use CMYK ink). Additionally, monitor calibration and lighting conditions can affect how colours appear on your device. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee an exact colour match.
